Experienced Balanced Trainers WANTED in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Eagle River, Kenai, Mat-Su Valley, Juneau, Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Denver, CO, and beyond.
We are looking for experienced trainers in the Anchorage, Fairbanks, Eagle River, Kenai and the Valley. We would love a trainer that has the ability to take on a few board and train/camp clients.
A little about us: Dog Works Training Company has experienced incredible growth and there is no end in sight. We have an absolutely amazing team that works great together. Our company covers all of Alaska and beyond and we specialize in working dogs and behavior modification. We are not one to sit idle, we are looking for new ways to grow and develop a training system that meets our clients needs. We work hard and play harder. We insist that you have the ability to make the most of your opportunities and follow your passions.
A little about you: We are seeking experienced, balanced trainers throughout Alaska and beyond. The ideal person would not only have experience with basic obedience, but also behavior cases, and able to work their own dog(s) in some capacity. If you have a set up for board and train clients, what we call Camp, that would be ideal (though we do have specific requirements for our Board and Train set up, so it would have to be cleared first). We do not need any egos or drama. We mean it. We do what we do because we love helping dogs and their owners. It is about them, not us. You must play nicely with others, have great communication and organization skills and able to work with multiple clients on a rotating schedule.
A little about the position: You will be busy if you want to be. For private in home classes, plan on 8 to 10 a month, largely based on your availability. If you are taking on board and trains, then we will talk about the number of dogs you can take. We keep it small so you can focus on plenty of training for the clients dogs. All of our trainers are independent contractors–you set your own schedule. It is a pretty sweet gig where you are going to focus on the clients dogs and we take care of the rest. You will need a reliable car as you will be driving to your clients. You will work WITH us, not for us.
Our trainers make 30-60% of the total training package sold, depending on experience. With the goal to get you to 60% as quickly as possible, so you are paid well for your hard work.
