The Strange Connection Between Pets And Good Luck

Pets have not only been a part of human life because of the help that they provide, but also for good luck. Yes, pets have a connection with good luck according to eastern systems of beliefs. Although this is something that is lesser known, there is an entire system of belief that is devoted to the luck which pets bring to homes and to individuals.

Different Systems Of Beliefs

The Indian and Chinese systems of fortune–bringing practices are the most refined and elaborate of the lot. Although both have a lot of differences on the outside, both systems share an everyday basis, and similar threads can be found in both cultures. For example, both Indian and Chinese belief systems believe that turtles are auspicious and can usher in luck and good fortune. Pets are also assigned according to your zodiac sign as well. Different animals are known to bring in various types of luck for the owner. Both Chinese and Indian systems believe that in the absence of an actual live animal, it is just as lucky to have images and statues of those animals in the house.

What Are Some Animals That Are Considered Lucky Of Kept As Pets?

Dogs: Dogs represent loyalty, protection, and good fortune. Dogs enhance positivity and good fortune around you, besides giving out protective positive vibes. The Chinese often place a pair of dog statues, called Fu, at the entrance of their homes for protection and safety. Rooster: Roosters are very commonly featured in Eastern good luck symbols. Roosters are symbolic of power and are especially helpful in resolving and preventing power-play-related issues. Roosters or their statues are believed to keep the environment peaceful by reducing power conflicts, politics, ego clashes, and so on. Cow: Maybe cows are considered highly auspicious in India because of their peaceful, timid nature. Also, because cows provide milk and various milk products, cows are seen as symbols of well-being, good fortune, and all-round happiness.

Good Luck And Directions

The direction in which the lucky animals or their images are frequently present plays a crucial role in good luck. For example, a turtle should be kept on the northern side of the house. Ideally, the north and east sides are considered auspicious. Dogs or the Fu images can be kept near or facing the door, while frogs should be kept facing away from the door and towards where you keep most of your wealth.
